Leverlink Motorbase series VL (Verti-Lift) has been supporting slurry pump electric motors in the overhead position for over 20 years. It has proven itself in the most hostile environments.
Up until the early 2000s, most electric motors and overhead drives had a capacity that was under 3000kg. The early to mid 2000s saw pump and processing plant designers requiring space saving options.
As a result, electric motors that were mounted alongside the slurry pump were now being designed as overhead drives. The motor capacity was often in the 500kW range, and the mass of the motor was 4000 – 5000kg. Consequently, our motor base designs now include the capacity to tension up to 20 vee belts.
In 2018 it is a common sight for large motorbases to be tensioned in the overhead vertical position.
