Mining pumps, when partnered with Leverlink motor bases, have been proven over the last 30 years to be far more efficient in maintaining high plant availability due to the simple mechanical/Rubber Torsion Spring adjustment system keeping the V-belts at the belt manufacturers optimum tension. This has resulted in a significant increase in belt pulley life.
Much of the initial testing 25 – 30 years ago clearly established the doubling of service life of these components. However, this does not negate the importance of checking belt tension at regular intervals and perhaps making minor adjustments to the tension by the manufacturer.
