LEVERLINK – History (Road Building – C1866)

Leverlink has an attachment to the history of Quarrying from its initial roots in New Zealand, the Sharp Family have been involved in Quarrying, timber and associated mining industries for over 150 years.

Here is a photo Circa 1866 , showing the hard work that went into building roads with a crew including Richards Great Grandfather placing rocks in place and using a knapping hammer, to break rocks to the size needed to complete the construction of roadway, a slow process compared to todays methods.

This history and innovation has been carried forward by our Director Richard Sharp, to form a company that is a solution provider to the quarrying and Mining Industry worldwide for the past 30 years.
